Biography

For many years, Jared Christiansen has shown leadership qualities
through work experiences, volunteering and in his education. These experiences will help him lead the state of
Wisconsin through different means such as working with others through bipartisanship, open lines of communication,
and bringing all ideas together to decide which one is best.
Jared has volunteered in many aspects of his life. When in school,
Jared would help tutor other students when they needed help. He also helped his teachers correct tests and homework
assignemnts when he was done with his own assignments. Jared also works through the Civil Air Patrol (CAP), a
youth leadership organization. Through CAP, Jared has learned communication skills, integrity, leadership skills,
and disaster relief skills. he has worked up the ranks to a Deputy Cadet
Commander, who was second in line to the Cadet Commander. At this rank, he learned to organize meetings, supervise
cadets, plan events, and help other cadets grow into their ranks. Jared has also volunteered in his community.
Once, when his neigbors were away, he raked their yard for five hours, getting rid of the Autumn leaves that had
fallen. The neighbor had only asked him to water the plants. He also has done garbage clean-up along side the
highway, through the "Adopt a Highway" program, through CAP.
Jared also has the education and work experience. He currently works
as an assistant manager at his local McDonalds. There, he has supervised employees three times his age. This is no
problem for him as he respects them and listens to them, and vice versa. He attended classes through McDonalds
that teach leadership skills and he can use those classes towards college credits. The McDonalds management is
one of the top ten managment teams in the world, and they are the only resturaunt franchise to offer credits
through their classes towards college. He has also learned to control costs and the resturaunt buget, which
goes into the millions.
Jared currently plans on attending University of Wisconsin-Madison,
majoring in Political Science and minoring in Economics in the Spring of 2011.
